Lockdown Boogie

Lockdown Boogie is a serialized comic book story that pokes fun at all sides in the unbelievable events that threw the world into topsy-turvy turmoil over the last few years…and then looks beyond into a crazy future!

The strange adventures we have just lived through are so bizarre, that only by reaching into a parallel dimension, and bringing out onto the pages of a comic book, such lively (and totally fictional) characters as Anthony Fauxi, President Klump, Gill Bates, and many, many more, can we even begin to make sense of it all.

All our projects are written by Huck Akin, a former professional comic book writer whose stories have been translated into a number of languages around the world.

The script is fully written, and this is a big project: a series of nine comics totaling 356 pages (not counting covers)—too much for one artist to complete in the time allotted. We plan to have different artists work on different books simultaneously, then leapfrog over to the next one. Our group of artists call themselves the “Pacific Free Artists Collective.” Some in PFAC are happy to have their real names out there, but others may wish to go under a nom de guerre for now, perhaps revealing their true identity at a later time of their choosing. It is all up to them.

Our brilliant, whimsical artist for Book One, goes by “Hugo.” We are delighted to be working with him.

What’s Offered

We will be releasing new pages as they are created by the artists. Each new page-drop consists of a couple of pages (more or less). Free Subscribers will be notified of a new drop about every other week. Paid Subscribers should get a new page-drop every week (barring unforeseen circumstances). Once we’ve added additional experienced professional comic book artists, we hope to have the drops come more frequently for both. Anytime you would like to read further into the story, you can upgrade to Paid.
